James Bond Auditions

We are looking for Soloist singers!

This year, it is 60 years ago the first James Bond film premiered.
To celebrate this birthday of the world’s most famous secret agent, Eindhoven Student Symphony Orchestra Ensuite, together with composer/arranger Mark Hendriks and a Jazz combo, are organizing a concert on December 3, 2022 in the Hertog-Jan hall of the Parktheater Eindhoven.
During the concert, a full evening program will be presented with an overview of 60 years of music from the Bond films. To complete the concert, we are looking for (jazz) vocal soloists (both male and female) to bring the music to life!

What do we expect from you?

  • You can read sheet music and sing together with an orchestra and/or jazz combo.
  • A good preparation for the solo.
  • Presence at a minimum of two rehearsals on Wednesday evening and one during a rehearsal weekend in Eindhoven. The dates are negotiable based on your availability. More rehearsals can be discussed if necessary.
  • Presence at the concert on December 3 in Eindhoven.

Auditions

Below are the songs with singers and the accompaniment during the concert. The songs are played in the original keys. You can download the originals with this link.
For the auditions, the male singers are asked to perform all songs with a male solo voice. For female singers it is mandatory to perform Skyfall and in addition two songs of your choice. During the auditions, you will need to sing a capella.
The auditions will take place on June 25 in Eindhoven. If too many singers want to audition, you will be asked to submit a video audition in advance. We then make a selection based on these videos.
