This year, the Markthal (before MetaForum) will again be transformed into a cosy christmas market… and on Thursday, the 13th of December, Auletes will perform some heart-warming christmas songs there! Be sure to come and enjoy some warm food or drinks, the atmosphere, and of course the music. See you there!

Al ruim 23 jaar is Ruud Huijbregts aan ESMG Quadrivium verbonden als dirigent van het koor Vokollage. Dit heeft hij altijd met veel plezier en passie gedaan. Helaas komt volgend jaar aan dit tijdperk een einde. Dat mag natuurlijk niet onopgemerkt voorbij gaan. Daarom vindt op 30 maart 2019 het afscheidsconcert plaats voor Ruud Huijbregts. Als oud-lid van ESMG Quadrivium ben je van harte uitgenodigd om mee te komen zingen met dit concert, of natuurlijk om te komen luisteren.
Het concert
Vokollage, uitgebreid met oud-leden, gaat samen met symfonieorkest Ensuite het Messa di Gloria van Giacomo Puccini uitvoeren. Het concert zal ‘s avonds plaats vinden in de Lidwinakerk in Best (Raadhuisstraat 209). Tegen die tijd kun je via de website van Quadrivium up-to-date informatie over het concert vinden en kaartjes kopen. We hopen je dan te zien!
Zing je mee?
Ben jij oud vokollage zanger? Dan nodigen we je van harte uit om niet alleen te komen luisteren, maar ook mee te zingen. Het is een leuke gelegenheid om met oud-Vokkers en natuurlijk Ruud te zingen en bij te kletsen. Ter voorbereiding op het concert staat een kennismakingsdag gepland op zaterdag 8 december. Ook staan er repetitiedagen op zaterdag 9 februari en zaterdag 9 maart gepland. Daarnaast is er een generale repetitie op woensdagavond 27 maart en natuurlijk het concert op zaterdag 30 maart.
Tijdens deze oefenmomenten zullen we samen het Messa di Gloria van Puccini instuderen. Bij het concert kun je de eerste helft in het publiek zitten en genieten van de muziek en zul je na de pauze deelnemen aan het koor om Puccini voor te dragen. ESMG Quadrivium vraagt oud-leden om een deelnemersbijdrage van 15 euro. Hiermee kan een deel van de kosten voor de bladmuziek, directie en organisatie bekostigd worden.
Natuurlijk kunnen we na de repetitiemomenten genieten van een drankje in Hubble, de bar in het nieuwe gebouw Luna waar ESMG Quadrivium heen is verhuisd.

On the 25th of August, 1918, one of the most influential composers and conductors of the 20th century was born in Massachusetts. 100 years later, Leonard Bernstein’s music is still performed and heard by many. The Eindhoven student association for classical music, ESMG Quadrivium, looks back on a century of his works.
Hence on Sunday, the 18th of November 2018, “A Century of Bernstein” will be performed. During this concert, the three sub-associations of Quadrivium will perform various works of his impressive oeuvre. Classics like West Side Story, the surprising musical arrangement of On the Town and lesser known pieces such as the Divertimento will all be brought to the audience. To crown it all, the rarely performed “Chichester Psalms” will be performed, in a unique arrangement for choir, organ, soloist and more.
Wind orchestra Auletes, symphony orchestra Ensuite and mixed choir Vokollage all consist of enthusiastic students and are led by spirited conductors. On Sunday afternoon, the 18 of November, you can hear these three groups perform a unique concert: “A Century of Bernstein!”

On the 8th of July student choir Vokollage and the Aachener Studentenchor der KHG are going to join forces to perform beautiful works under the theme ”Cantate, sing to the Lord!”
This interesting concert will start at 16.00 at the St. Catharinakerk and will be conducted by Ruud Huijbregts and Thorsten Krause.

Come and have an amazing start of the summer by enjoying pieces created by brilliant composers like Monteverdi, Duruflé, Bruckner, and Rheinberger, but also Dutch composers like Andriessen and De Klerk!
