Wind orchestra Auletes
Wind orchestra Auletes consists of approximately 50 enthusiastic musicians, mostly students of the TU/e and Fontys, but also from other organizations outside of Eindhoven. Every year they play a large number of challenging pieces around themes or events. These are always performed on beautiful stages. For example, Auletes played in the Muziekgebouw Eindhoven, staged a worldly concert in Theaters Tilburg and ties between student cities played an important role in the exchange concert in Enschede. The orchestra also regularly performs on the campus of the Technical University. Pieces from Bernstein to Holst are played at these concerts.
Auletes is currently busy with the search for a new conductor. Our wind orchestra is currently led by interim conductor Frans-Aert Burghgraef. New musicians are always welcome to come and listen or play a rehearsal. Not only wind instruments, but also double basses and harps are part of this concert band. Furthermore, we are currently still looking for new (bass) clarinettists, horn players, percussionists and bassoonists. If you think it would be fun to come by, send an email and we’ll set up a chair for you!
Wind orchestra Auletes rehearses on Thursdays from 19:30 until 22:30. The rehearsal location is the large music hall Pulsar in the Luna building on the campus of Eindhoven University of Technology.
